If you're not expecting a couple of stairs leading into a room, there's a risk of tripping and falling. It might seem like no big deal, but if you're living with someone who has accessibility issues, sunken rooms could be dangerous.
• They don't offer much flexibility. Let's face it: if you have a sunken room, there's not a lot you can do with it.
